Hi all, I wanted to show you the progress we have made here. We have implemented copy and paste between tracks, and across sequences. In the latest beta (as of Monday morning) you can right click on a track, and copy the entire contents of the effects inserts area. The entire rack will be copied. When you paste, the entire rack will be replaced with the paste, removing and existing effects. To reiterate: Pasting will completely replace the existing effects on a track.
This should work between any two types of tracks, regardless of channelization, or sample rate. And also between different sequences.
There is no keyboard shortcuts available for this, as there is no track selection model in Premiere, we understand that limitation.
This is also incremental work toward possibly creating effects rack presets. We work incrementally, building on the work that came before. There has been (lots really) deep, fundamental work to get to this point and we will start to see some of the benefits of this work moving forward.
Standardize effects and presets with Audition. Offer a UI for both track & clip effects and the ability to easily save presets of either one. The functionality is there, just in another program. It would be great to port these features over for those in a hurry 🙂
Yeah, I just spend half an hour on improving my audio track and wanted to implement it in another project - no way to do it. And no way to copy the values from track to single media effects. "Effects and sends" menu is very cool, but not having a preset or at least copy/paste option there... Huge oversight.
I'd really like to see the priority of this fix escalated! Let me put you in the picture... let's say I have 20 different sequences all using audio from the same shoot but in their own sequence for individual edit/review and then batch export using Media Encoder.
I get my levels on my audio track just right on my first sequence, time to copy and paste that work to tracks in other sequences right? Well unfortunately it looks like I cant! This would mean re-doing the work again for each individual sequence.
This really is a massive oversight and it'd be brilliant to have a little more dialogue and feedback on if you have plans to address this in the near future?
"You can't even type in numbers directly..." @4439749 Walker I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but you can double click on the effect name in the Audio Track Insert and it will open the custom UI for the effects. Not all effects have a custom UI (Example: The Invert effect), but most do.
Seriously cannot believe this is not already a feature. The interface for adding effects to the master track is a pathetic joke! You can't even type in numbers directly...you have to rely on that **** knob that hops sporadically all over the place!
How in the world is anybody able to function with it??? I'm stuck pasting audio presets to every single clip.
