Accessibility issue: Visibility of selections in latest versions of Premiere
I'm not sure if this is best submitted as a bug or an idea. It's an accessibility issue, at any rate.
The selection border for selected clips on the timeline in newer versions of Premiere Pro (24.4+ I think?) is quite difficult to see, at least for me with my okay-but-not-great eyesight, at least when using premiere at 4k on a 32" monitor. This isn't a "I don't like the colors" problem, this is a "I really have to study the screen to figure out what clips I have selected" problem. It's probably even harder to find the selected clip(s) for someone with *poor* eyesight!
This isn't a "just get used to it" kind of issue. The new selection border is significantly thinner and not as bright as the old selection border, I can't just magically become more able to see it. And believe me, I've tried!
I've sent screenshots of old and new premiere to friends and they can't find a selected clip on a dense timeline, either, until I point it out to them, so it's not just me.
I can't upgrade past 24.3 because it's so difficult for me to see what's selected, that it is basically impossible for me to work. I'd really like to be able to upgrade. Please don't limit premiere to only be usable by people with really amazing vision!
If nothing else, some kind of acknowledgement from someone at Adobe that this issue is even on their radar would be lovely. Or let me know that y'all are happy with it as-is so that I know it's time to move on to another editor (though I'd much rather not).
Please?
