Add Edit AND Transition shortcut

It would be so super handy to have a function where users can use a short cut to make an edit in a clip and add a transition at the same time instead of making an edit with CTRL+K and then adding the transition with CTRL+D. 

 

While it doesn't sound like a big deal, some of the projects I work on are single camera long form video and that type of edit happens dozens of times across a piece of content. It would be an amazing short time saver.

Like YourFriendlyEditor said, Excalibur should be able to do this if you are willing to spend the $120 for it or you can explore Automation Blocks or see if AutoHotKey for PC or Keyboard Maestro for Mac allow this.

i suggest to download excalibur plugin to be able to put a shortcut to every effect you want including each transition if you use different ones. And for the rest you can use a Macro, like some programs like better touch tools and Robotask on windows and maybe a free one (i use my logitech mouse) you put first the shortcut for the cut and the adding a transition and it should work!
