Add Voice Isolation Feature (like in Davinci)

Hi Adobe Team,

I would love to see a Voice Isolation feature in Premiere Pro, similar to the one in DaVinci Resolve. This would allow users to easily remove background music from a track with dialogue or vocals while preserving speech clarity.

How would this improve my workflow?
Currently, removing background music from voice recordings in Premiere Pro requires complex EQ adjustments, noise reduction plugins, or third-party tools. These methods can be time-consuming and often don't yield the best results. DaVinci Resolve's Voice Isolation feature simplifies this process with just one click, using AI to separate vocals from background noise.

Adding a similar AI-powered Voice Isolation tool in Premiere Pro would:

  • Save time by reducing the need for manual audio editing.
  • Improve audio quality by enhancing dialogue clarity without affecting the voice.
  • Enhance workflow efficiency for content creators, video editors, and filmmakers.

This feature would be incredibly useful for interviews, vlogs, podcasts, and any content where clear speech is essential. I believe many Premiere Pro users would benefit from this functionality.

If you agree, please upvote this request!

Thanks

There is an AU preset included in Premiere. Go to your Effects panel. Locate: Audio  > Apple > AUSoundisolation. You can isolate the vocals to keep but you cannot remove them.

Depending on the audio, you could use Adobe's "Enhance Speech" tool here on the web:

https://podcast.adobe.com/enhance

Or right in premiere: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/enhance-speech.html

Not sure how that would work in the case of isolating a vocal track from the rest of a music track though, I think it's more designed for removing background noise from regular speech, but you could still try it.
