Does Adobe plan to add the Hebrew language
To the list of languages that can be transcribed?

The workflow will improve on several levels when it will be possible to transcribe in Hebrew
Inside the software!

@adobe can you guys please add hebrew support for transcription? It’s unreal that we pay monthly for this - and this request has been around for so long and you do nothing. Are you trying to have people move to competitors?

Hi stanflow,

Following up on my previous mention of Version 1.1, I wanted to update the thread that Transcript Converter is now at Version 2.5 with a much more integrated workflow.

You can now transcribe directly from within Premiere Pro using some of the world's most accurate transcription services, providing a surgical solution for Hebrew.

Key features in this latest version include:

  • Text-Based Editing: Fully enable Premiere Pro's native Text-Based Editing for Hebrew by importing optimized JSON transcripts.

  • SRT Generation: Generate standard SRT captions or auto-translated SRTs in over 100 languages.

  • Professional Documentation: Export well-formatted Word documents with speaker identification and precise timecodes, available in both native and translated languages.

While this is a paid extension, you can test the entire workflow with a free 10-day trial: 🔗 https://aescripts.com/transcript-converter/

I have also created a dedicated tutorial showing exactly how to set this up and use the integrated services: 📺 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOnbPYYL6eU

Best,

Ali

For everyone waiting on Hebrew support: I’ve built a converter tool (paid) that solves this by allowing you to import external transcripts directly into Premiere for Text-Based Editing.

I actually just released Version 1.1,  which adds support for Sonix.ai alongside ElevenLabs, Whisper, Google Chirp and AssemblyAi. You can generate highly accurate Hebrew transcripts using those services and use my converter to make them fully compatible with Premiere’s internal transcript panel. Even if Adobe adds support later, this remains a great way to use 3rd party engines if they prove more accurate for Hebrew grammar and dialects.

It’s amazing that this thread is already two years old and Adobe still hasn’t responded, nor have we received the features we asked for. Meanwhile, DaVinci Resolve already offers automatic Hebrew captions and multiple caption animation options. Adobe, this is truly disappointing  you’re falling behind. I’m seriously considering leaving Premiere and switching to DaVinci. It’s unfortunate that it has come to this.!--endfragment>!--startfragment>

Hi,

Could you please add Hebrew in the Speech to Text Language Pack for Transcribing. I'm thankfull for Dutch, but I'm struggeling without Hebrew. It's a small step for you IT-guys. Hope you can help us users out.

Thank you.
