Allow clip markers in sequences to transfer automatically across systems

Clip markers should persist with the sequence by default, not depend on hidden XMP settings or cache refreshes.

Hi Adobe team,

It would be very helpful if clip markers placed on clips inside a sequence transferred reliably when sharing projects between systems — even when “Write Clip Markers to XMP” preferences aren’t enabled.

Currently, markers that look “in the timeline” are actually stored in the clip’s source metadata. This causes them to disappear on another system unless both editors enable specific XMP settings and restart Premiere several times.

Since this behavior is unexpected for most editors, it would make more sense for Premiere to store those markers with the sequence by default, ensuring they always transfer with the project file.

If some users prefer to exclude marker data, you could offer an optional checkbox such as “Do not include clip marker data when sharing projects.”

This small change would make collaborative workflows far more intuitive and robust.
