Allow Mercury Transmit Keyboard Shortcuts / Controls to Function in Export Mode

Feature Request: Allow Mercury Transmit Keyboard Shortcuts / Controls to Function in Export Mode

Feature Description

When editing, I rely on a dedicated keyboard shortcut (F7) to quickly toggle external video monitoring (Mercury Transmit) on and off. This is essential because having enough screen space to search for folders, manage assets, and handle the export properly requires toggling the secondary screen view.

However, the moment you switch to the Export tab or workspace, this shortcut and related Transmit commands completely stop working because the application locks down monitor states.

Proposed Solution:

  1. Allow custom keyboard shortcuts for toggling Transmit to remain active and responsive even when inside the Export workspace/tab, ensuring users can properly manage their screen space.

  2. Alternatively, add an automated preference option to “Automatically disable Transmit in Export mode” so screen space and resources are freed up without requiring users to manually struggle with blocked hotkeys when switching views.
