Allow the import of "aivx" tagged AVC .MOV files.

Please change the way Premiere Pro reads video metadata tagging to allow the import of AVC codec .MOVs.

We recently switched to Adobe Premiere Pro but our archive library contains tens of thousands of .MOVs that are rewrapped .MXFs. The initial rewrapping was done as part of an older workflow within FCPX. The video files are now tagged "aivx" which is AVC-Intra VBR. Rewrapping the entirety of our archive is out of the question so this software change within Premiere Pro would be extremely valuable to us.

A little more background: I scoured the internet for something to rewrap an MOV to MXF. After rewrapping the file using a program called Filestar, Premiere Pro allowed the import (the video data now being tagged "AVC" instead of "aivx" as seen in MediaInfo) and the file works wonderfully! Out of curiousity, I rewrapped that newly wrapped MXF file to MOV using a piece of software called EditReady and it no longer imports into Premiere Pro, but I can rewap again to MXF in Filestar and Premiere Pro imports it. I can repeat this rewrapping process forever, never changing the video data itself. So there's something with the way Premiere Pro handles the tagging of the video data of the MOVs and there's nothing wrong with the video data itself.

I am adding in your excellent reply from the other thread since this is the only path to victory for ever seeing this "idea" of recognizing .mov wrapped aivx files in Premiere Pro just in case anyone elese needs it.

ffmpeg -i inputfile.mov -c copy -map 0:0 -map 0:a output file.mxf

This would be hugely helpful. Theres nothing about the codec that Premeire can't handle. This is simply a stream mapping issue that should be relatively simple to address. Otherwise, the fix for users to remux clips via ffmpeg to remove the header tag and remap the audio channels. A fix inside of premiere would be much appreciated.
