Allow to drag and drop items (e.g .graphic) in properties panel

I really hate using the button “from file” while using the properties panel, it just takes lots of time to look for it in the external finder window. Especially i already have it open in my existing finder tab. So would it be possible that we could do drag and drops in the properties panel?
