Alt+drag clip in timeline replace by TIMECODE, and not by start of clip like is doing now

When you replace a clip in the timeline now doing this, it doesn’t respect the original timecode, all the clips start from 00:00:00.

It would be great if it respected the original timecode!

There is a setting in the Preferences/Media > Timecode: use media starttime or set to 00.00

I actually have that setting enabled but still it doesn’t happen. I’m attaching a very short video were I clearly show how I want to replace a video with the original After Effects comp that it was created from.

The problem is that the video is chopped a lot in the timeline and all those little clips revert back to 0 instead of respecting the original time code. (Replace Footage doesn’t work because it’s an AE comp)

If it's the same footage but higher resolution or whatever then replace the footage in the Project window.

I think its a bug? Did restarting premiere help? Cause for me its working and I have the same problem as you from time to time but a restart might help :D BUT YES would be nice if this wont happen in the first place :D
