Apply position of text in Text Style

WHYYYY is the position of a piece of text not included in a Text Style? 

Basically, I manually add captions to the videos I make because I need total flexibility for where they appear in the frame. The problem arises when I then come to create another version of the video where all that same text needs to be moved to the same place in the frame, like regular captions.

There are probably ways of working around this that I haven't thought about, but it does raise the issue of why there isn't an option to include the position of the text in Text Style. It's driving me nuts!
