Audio Remix tool - show the possible "endpoints" on click and drag

Hello! 
While the audio remix tool is great, the "endpoint" of the new duration feels entirely subject to the tool's processing (and I've found it's rarely able to hit the end exactly where needed). To fix this, what if the click and drag featured all processable endpoints for more precision in where the audio will end? This could help mitigate the tool auto-filling a few seconds in either the front or end at what seems random - you'd get to decide if it will be a little longer or shorter.
