Auto switching of mask tool

In the new mask tools I found a problem for me, when I want to add multiple masks in batch.
Every time a mask is added, the tool will automatically change to the selection tool.

It would be great to have an option to change this behavior and keep the mask tool active.

Why would that be great?
When I have multiple areas to blur or highlight or whatever, it’s not very efficient that the tool switches automatically. This behavior could be a quality of life feature but it shouldn’t be default in my opinion.
Also no other tool behaves like this, adding to the confusion when using it for the first time.
