Be able to select all captions of a Speaker

When I turn a transcript into captions, I also want to split each speaker into their own Subtitle track and do other mass formats and edits based off this. Whether at the start, when turning the entire transcript into captions, or later on if I forget or the need arises, I would like a way to be able to select all the captions based on filters in the Transcript pane.

Surely it’s possible for the program to
a) add this track-per-speaker option when converting transcript to captions, and
b) retain a link between captions and their entry that they were created from in the transcript and be able to use the Transcript pane to select the captions that were created from them?

    @MakingAToZ,

    Upvoted. The choice here may be between using transcript filters vs making caption/track filters. I have assumed that once they provide for speaker identification to move with captions, there would be a choice as to making captions one track vs multiple tracks and/or an option to control which caption tracks are used to populate a single srt, if the captions are not burned in. There are many challenges to these improvements.

    There are many feature requests related to using speaker information in the transcription and captions. See my post here, and one before it with a list of other feature requests:
