Bin Thumbnail view - Sort by Creation Date

I am needing to sort bins of footage for a docuseries shot over about 2 years. The footage was shot on cinema cameras, the filenames of which are often something like "A00#C00#_yymmdd##". It'd be super helpful to have the option to sort the source clips by Creation Date. The date would probably be the date we made the proxies, but that least that would get us in the ballpark. (We did transcode in DaVinci, can the bin be sorted by Tape Name?)

Hang on, I see I can do so in List View. I was in Thumbnail View. I think what I was actually looking for is the option, in Thumbnail view, to Sort as Sorted. i.e.,  if I sort by a specific column in List View, then want that sorting to be applied to the thumbnail view.
