Bring back "dust & scratches" effect

I would love to have the dust & scratches effect back in premiere pro 2025. I understand that it wasn't gpu accelerated, but it worked so well in my workflow. I've tried the same method but switch dust & scratches with Gaussian blur, but the results are nowhere near as good as the original dust and scratches effect. 

Is this possible to add back? If not, does anyone have an equally good solution/replacement for the dust and scratches effect?
