Can you copy clip markers and make them into sequence markers?

Hello everyone,

I am editing a project with another director - and we initially started marking our footage with clip markers. We have however now worked out that this is problematic. So, instead of watching the footage all over again - we would simply like to copy and drag our clip markers - and turn them into sequence markers instead. So does anyone know if there is a way to move clip markers and make them into timeline/sequence markers? Many thanks Ross

It should just be easier to work with markers period. Should be able to drag them from clip to clip, sequence to clip and vice versa. Should be able to drop in based on relative TC or sequence TC. Just much more granular control of markers in the marker panel (including adding spanned markers based on I/O of the sequence or clip).

This plugin can do it if you export the markers from the clip first: https://exchange.adobe.com/apps/cc/201336?pluginId=201336

You can use keyboard shortcuts to quickly navigate to the next marker and hit M to create a sequence marker.  That will 'duplicate' the location of all clip markers into the sequence, though it won't include any marker names or notes.
