Command Key to stack all vertically

We work with a lot of audio stems and it would be amazing if there was a way in Premiere to be able to assign a key command that allows users to pull all the stems into a sequence and stack them vertically.

    Hi Kirsten,

A built-in shortcut for this would be useful! This also sounds like a good use case for a small custom script in Automation Agent, a Premiere Pro extension I’m developing.

For example, the script could take the audio stems selected in the Project panel and place them on separate audio tracks in the active sequence, all starting at the playhead. Once saved, it could be triggered with a keyboard shortcut through a tool such as Keyboard Maestro.

Automation Agent is currently in private beta, and I’d be happy to invite you. I’m particularly looking for editors who would like to test the keyboard-shortcut workflow with everyday editing tasks.

    Keyboard shortcut setup

Would placing the selected stems at the playhead, one per track, cover your workflow? If so, I’d be happy to help put together an initial script for you.
