Complaint About the New Masking Workflow in Adobe Premiere Pro 2026
Dear Adobe Premiere Pro Team,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the changes introduced to the masking workflow in Adobe Premiere Pro 2026, particularly the new Object Mask feature and the updated mask creation and editing tools.Although I understand the goal of improving Premiere Pro through artificial intelligence, the practical experience has become more complicated and less efficient. As a user, I feel that creating, adjusting, and applying masks now requires more steps and manual intervention than before. This update has had a direct impact on my workflow. Tasks that used to be quick and intuitive now take considerably longer and require constant corrections to the selection, mask edges, and tracking. Instead of simplifying the process, the new system has made masking frustrating, less predictable, and more time-consuming.A professional editing tool should allow users to choose between automation, manual control, and a simple traditional workflow. I therefore ask Adobe to consider the following improvements:• Restore a simpler and more direct masking workflow.• Keep the previous masking methods available as an alternative.• Reduce the number of steps required to apply a mask to opacity or an effect.• Improve the accuracy and stability of object selection and tracking.• Provide greater control over mask edges, feathering, and adjustments.
I respectfully ask that this complaint be forwarded to the Adobe Premiere Pro development team and that the concerns of professional users be taken into account in future updates.Thank you for your attention. I look forward to seeing meaningful improvements to the masking workflow.
