Dear Adobe Premiere Pro Team,

Why is the Shadow/Highlight effect no longer available in newer versions of Adobe Premiere Pro? Why was this useful effect removed?

The Shadow/Highlight effect was one of the best and most useful effects in Premiere Pro. It was extremely helpful for naturally brightening dark video footage while preserving a realistic look.

Unfortunately, because the Shadow/Highlight effect is missing from newer versions, we are forced to continue using the 2024 version of Adobe Premiere Pro, which still includes this effect.

We kindly request that you bring back the Shadow/Highlight effect in newer versions of Adobe Premiere Pro and make it available in the Effects panel once again.

Restoring this valuable effect would allow us to upgrade to Adobe Premiere Pro 2026 and future versions without losing an essential part of our video editing workflow.

We sincerely hope you will consider our request and bring back this much-loved effect.

Thank you in advance for your time, attention, and consideration.

Best regards,
