Default Transition Position

In preferences, you can set a length for default transitions, but not a position. Once the transition is in place, you can go into Effect Controls and set it to End at Cut, Center at Cut, and Start at Cut, but it would be nice to be able to set that parameter as a default, so I don't have to move it everytime I drop in a default transition.
