Double click subtitle on timeline > switches to that caption in the Text > Captions pane

Adobe Premier Pro 2024 v24.2.0 b93

Windows 11

When I double click on the subtitle clip in the Subtitle timeline window I expect the Edit > Text > Captions pane to automatically move to and highlight that caption in the list (and maybe even be open for editing so I can just start typing over the text in it). At the moment, the Text > Caption pane does nothing and I have to scroll through it to find where I'm at in the video and then click the right one.

Alternatively, create an opt-out option where the Edit > Text > Captions list  automatically scrolls whenever the video is playing so that the current subtitle is always highlighted in the middle of the list.

Hi!

Thank you for your feedback. Can you verify in the text panel menu bar on the top right - click the "..." menu and check if "Enable auto-scrolling" is set. This should in theory enable the text panel to do what you are describing.

Best regards,

 Alexander
