Ae is really the graphics "home" for video cool stuff.   Too bad most of us tend to avoid it so much. My Ae buds all just laugh and suggest learning how to make Ae fly is a big part of growing up. Hmmm.

They might be right, at least sort of ...

You may want to look into borrowing animation presets from After Effects  The text animators are very good. Same with transitions but I reccomend not using too many transitions.

This is one of those things where there's been a major difference between "prosumer" and "professional" applications.

Prosumer apps assume the users 1) don't know much and 2) want everything quick and easy, if not all that adjustable.

Professional apps assume 1) the users are experienced and 2) want absolute control over everything.

So prosumer apps have a lot of built in "grouped" effects that completely do a lot of what you would do in them.

Pro apps assume you either build your own or get the many plugins available.

aescripts.com has an amazing array of plugins and helper apps for both Premiere and AfterEffects, most cost a fairly low amount. And are well worth the money.

For what its worth, pro colorists, working in Resolve, which has a LOT of heavy effects for color work ... also normally have the full Boris suite as well as typically all of Maxon/RedGiant loaded. They spend more per year on plugins than the Adobe suite costs.

And assume they need to do so.
