Editing transcripts on clips that have been edited into a sequence

I would like to have the full editing functionality of the text window transcript tab be available for a clip in the timeline at any stage of the editing process.

I would like to be able to update transcripts on clips that have already been edited into a sequence; at present you can’t fully edit the transcript (such as merging or splitting segments or renaming speakers) for a clip once it has been edited into another sequence - but often this is when you find important mistakes in the transcription.  

At the moment when I spot these transcript mistakes, I have to match back to the source clip & correct the transcript there, before returning to my edit, which is a rather clumsy & labourious work around, and breaks my editing flow
