Fade to Black effect that can be added to top layer that fades all layers below it to black.

When will Adobe create a Fade to Black effect for Premiere Pro that can be added to the top layer that fades all the layers below it? You know, like Media Composer has had --- ALWAYS?

...an effect that keeps us from having to create a piece of black video, or an adjustment layer, or nest all the video layers, and then add keyframes?

No, Dip to Black doesn't work.

Cross Dissolves(which have to be added to ALL the layers) cause the graphics to become transparent, showing the layers below the graphics, which looks like crap.

How has Adobe not created a simple Fade to Black effect?

WHEN will Adobe creat a simple Fade to Black effect?

Thank you Peru Bob. Finally, someone with a helpful answer.

It's still completey ridiculous that a simple Fade to Black effect doesn't exist in Premiere Pro.

Dearest Ann -

It's a dip to black. The black happens in the middle. The middle of 0-100 is 50.

I KNOW ALL THAT.

This is what it gives me ---FTB_vs_DTB.png--- which is unacceptable.

Dip to Black does work!!!!!!!!!

In the first screenshot I used the Impact dip to black as in future builds the native dip to black becomes legacy and eventually removed from the program.

The transition needs to be set to 50% as it really better suited as a double-sided transition.

BTW this is 26.1.1 beta.

Make sure Composite in Linear Color is unchecked in the sequence settings.

It doesn't matter what number I change it to.

It doesn't fade it completely to black.

AND - it fades the graphic faster than it fades the video.  CRAP

Again, I shouldn't have to add an effect that's NOT a Fade to Black effect, and spend time modifiying it to BECOME a Fade to Black effect.

Completely ridiculous that there's not an effect that fades all layers below it as if they were ONE LAYER.

Like Media Composer does(see video in my original post).

Does anyone from Adobe read these posts?

@Kent_SLA

@Ann Bens

I think you are using different versions and builds of Premiere Pro.

Mine looks like the image @Kent_SLA  posted.

Dip to black will effect all tracks only if you change the End setting.

Because Dip to Black ≠ Fade to Black.

I can't change that.

[my Effects Controls do not look like yours!]

WHY should I have to use a Dip to Black effect that has to be modified(which I am unable to do) when I could just use a Fade to Black effect?

WHY has Adobe not created this simple effect?

???????????????????????????????????????
