Feature Request: AI-Powered Word Replacement in Text-Based Editing

Correcting a single misspoken word in recorded dialogue is currently a major workflow disruption in Premiere Pro.

Editors are forced to waste time either making complicated manual audio splices or relying on third-party subscription tools that offer this function instantly.

This friction is driving creators who produce dialogue-heavy content away from the platform.

The Solution: Integrated AI Speech Fix

Adobe already possesses this core generative capability in Firefly. We need to integrate this technology directly into the Text-Based Editing window.

The Proposed Feature:

1. Select the incorrect word in the transcript.

2. Type the correct word.

3. Click 'Fix Speech'.

The AI must instantly synthesise and insert the replacement word, matching the speaker's voice on the timeline, resulting in a seamless, clean audio correction.

Why This is Essential

This is a competitive necessity. It saves editors hours of tedious clean-up and removes the primary reason professionals turn to external dialogue editing platforms, making Premiere Pro the complete solution.
