Feature Request: Mute Uhms

The uhm detection and removal feature is quite useful!

However, to avoid jump cuts in visuals, some clients prefer the "mute" method, where the audio is muted for uhms but the visual track is untouched, creating a smoother more natural continuity.

Currently I have to do this manually, but it would be nice to use the same tool that removes and creates a cut, to also have a mute option.

@CGBESSELLIEU,

Thanks for sharing the tip about automating the fades.

Thanks Stan! Very helpful.

That worked. If you lock the video tracks and then use the "lift" option when clearing filler words that does it. Then I select all and use Cmd-Shift-D which automates fade-ins/outs. You can set the fade length parameters in Prefrences --> Timeline.

@CGBESSELLIEU,

Upvoted. I agree there should be a way to select whether the audio only is to be affected by features such as filler words bulk deletion.

The workaround is to lock the video tracks, and text-based editing (e.g. filler word deletion/lift) will remove only the audio.
