The Big Problem: Fixing a Single Spoken Word

If you've ever recorded dialogue, you know the pain: you mispronounce one word, stammer, or swap "their" for "there."

Right now, your options in Premiere Pro are brutal:

  • Stop the session and re-record the whole section.

  • Spend five minutes awkwardly splicing a word from another take.

  • Settle for paying a subscription to another tool (like Descript) that does this instantly.

This single missing feature is forcing thousands of professional creators out of Premiere Pro for dialogue-heavy work.

The Simple Fix Adobe Needs To Build

Adobe already has the generative AI (Firefly, Enhance Speech). We need to bring it into the Text-Based Editing window.

The Feature: Select a word in the transcript, type the correct word, and hit 'Fix Speech'.

The AI must then instantly synthesise and insert the correctly pronounced audio using your existing voice sample from the timeline. No re-recording, no messy splicing. Just a clean, seamless fix.

Why Adobe Needs This Yesterday

This is not a nice-to-have; it's a competitive necessity:
1. Kill the Competition: This feature eliminates the biggest reason creators subscribe to competing dialogue editors.
2. Massive Time Savings: For anyone doing YouTube, podcasting, or online courses, this cuts hours of manual audio clean-up every month.
3. Level the Playing Field: It gives non-native speakers confidence to produce professional content without the fear of errors.

Adobe has the tech. It just needs to be integrated. Please upvote this now if you want to stop wasting time re-recording your audio.
