"Go to Next/Previous Edit Points"

So, I switched the hotkeys for this commands as follows: Go to Next Edit Point is Up arrow and Go to Previous Edit Point is Down arrow. It works fine in Timeline panel, however works the old way in Project Panel, which is very annoying. Is there a way to fix this?

I just also realised this, and I too have the next and previous edit point keys reversed. Somehow it makes more sense this way. Maybe my brain is wired up in reverse polatiry. I just realized setting the shortcuts only works for the timeline panel, not in the program panel.

(PS: I just realized how odd it is to assign the up/down keys for a 'sideways' motion, but there is no other way since left/right is used for frame scrubbing. It must have been up to a programmer once to decide that up should be backwards in time, reflecting how one would read through a script / autocue. I however, having played many games in my life, associate the up key with going forwards (in time), and the down key with going backwards. So for me that is how it should work. Only with a timeline of course. I don't press up to scroll down on a page 😉 )

Hi @John28850210ubid,

I saw your issue. I believe that the shortcut is expressly for the Timeline panel. To have it work in other panels is likely a feature request. You can make a feature request here.

Thanks,
Kevin
