Ha! I had to create the How about a Feature Request Form THAT ACTUALLY WORKS!?!?!??! just to get past the “Let’s see if that exists B.S.!” that would GO ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE!!!!

Here’s my real request:

Please make a feature whereby we can assigned assets from ANY Project File to be ADDED to a Template file. I use the same assets over and over and over, and I need a FAST way to ADD them to a pre-defined Template File, rather than opening my Template Project and copy & pasting, or worse yet, RECREATING them OVER and OVER, and OVER. Also, could we just have the option to have a Universally available Captions Style? Tho the Add to Template would accomplish the same thing, so let's prioritize that one. Thanks!

Why? They'll ignore it and every release will just be more garbage you have to waste your time looking up how to disable.

They actually respond more to such posts than the Resolve team does. Understand, neither BM nor Adobe ... nor Avid for that matter ... ever discuss possible changes in public. Period. At most, they will ask how you would like something to work.

Another thing most users clearly don’t get ... every one of us wants the app to work differently than every other user. So ... your request or idea is what you want, and they know there wlll be another user opposed to whatever it is you want. It’s just being human, after all.

I’ve stood in the aisles at NAB so many years now, marvelous discussions with editors, colorists, and graphics people ... and every one of us does the “same task” differently than any other. Endlessly fascinating to me how different we all are.

And look at the changes ... the limits of the masking in Premiere has been complained about for years here. So ... they rebuilt a new, vastly more powerful system for masking ... which yea, as a user you must read the documentation on how the new thing works but it’s amazing.

I can’t see my ever needing to go rotoscope in Ae again ... which I really nice.

But that capability has been a huge user request. As has better searching tools, which are also vastly improved. And many other things.

While ... an actual modern updated control system for working with multiple monitors ... has also been requested for years, but they’ve prioritized other changes above it. Maybe next year ... sigh.

Once you have the list of “Let’s see if this request already exist,” go to the bottom where it says “None of these match your idea.” It does not appear to be a link, but once you click it, a message appears with a “Continue” button. The message is “Click Continue to share more about your idea.”

It appears to work the way you want once you get past that step.
