I wish there was a way of solo track editing without locking all other audio and video tracks

One of my favorite ways to edit in PP is through keyboard shortcuts, especially through the use of ripple trimming. However, ripple trims effect all other clips in adjacent timelines unless those tracks are all locked. 

So I often find myself locking all other tracks to really get into the nitty-gritty of editing certain a-roll for example, or nest clips in a track first and make all of my edits in there so that I can work easier and quicker.

Therefore, I wish there was a way to have the opposite of locking tracks. Something along the liens of a toggle option on the timeline that lets you JUST edit that one track without messing with everything else.
