If text is highlighted, make adding text styles only affect the highlighted text

For example if I highlited one word out of a big text block and dragged a text style onto that text block, it should then only apply the style to that one word.

Or/And another idea that I would like to see...

Text color copy/pasting, I want to be able to copy one color (even a gradient one) and then just highlight text and paste the color onto it without having to go to the graphics tab and then pasting the color hex code.
