Is there an option to disable playhead jumping when clicking on timeline markers?

When working with many sequence or chapter markers in Adobe Premiere Pro, it’s very easy to accidentally click on a marker in the timeline. Every time this happens, the playhead instantly jumps to that marker’s position. 

It would be great if Premiere offered an option in the preferences or timeline settings to disable automatic playhead movement when clicking on markers. For example, clicking a marker could simply select it without changing the current playhead position.

This small change would make working with large projects and detailed marker setups much smoother and less frustrating.
