Make an ability to disable zoom on the program window

For the love of everything good, and thousands of people activily paying you every month, will you please make an ability to disable zoom on the program window or change the mouse scroll wheel behavior. You have screwed over thousands of people with a feature that most people did not ask for or want. Its wrecking our workflow. Having to place my mouse in time ruler is time consuming, annoying and not sufficient.
Yes it makes sense having that in After Effects but this is premiere, a place we were scrub though footage and the time lines 100x more than we zoom. Whereas in After Effects you zoom more than you scrub through footage.
I am very frusterated with the Adobe Team because it feels like they rarely listen to their community and instead do willy nilly things that a bunch of people sitting a room who don't edit for a living think would be useful. I speak for thousands of people when I say please change this. Just because not eveyone is wasting their time asking (lets be honest its prob a waste of our time since you rarely lsiten) doesnt mean they dont care.

Please at least make a drop down "fit - locked" option. Something, anything. Im going back to the old version just for that feature until its changed. Which sucks because I like using beta.

The color change of the UI was another thing that got a tremendous amout of vociferous dislike initially.

Including from some of my favorite curmudgeons, who were posting totally snarky things about the idiocy of the change.

But then a couple said they were gonna try out Vibrant or a couple others just to see how incredibly awful they were. And would post pics soon.

But then ... they posted back that actually, "vibrant" was pretty ... decent ... and with only a slight mod to a color or two, they ... loved it. Had adopted that as their personal color schema.

You just can't trust some people! ... lol

Zooming the Program Panel was a big request. Adobe honored it.

But there will always be users that don't like new features.

I, for one, just love it a use it on a daily basis.

Did have to get used to the scrolling part though.

An option to turn it off or on would be fine by me.

In practice, I'm with you. However, you're making an assumption that isn't assured. Which is that the majority of users are do things and view the editing process as you do.

Lose that, as we all work differently. Far more than you apparently realize.

Going to NAB for over a decade, one of the more fascinating things is to talk with editors, vfx, and colorist types in the hallways. Everybody does about everything differently.

In this case, I fully support your request, upvoted it, and have done so for the several other similar Idea posts I've seen. I would love that 'toggle'.

But I am quite aware that of the several million daily users, a lot of them love the ability to zoom and use that heavily. You don't, I don't use it much, but they do.

And they love the change. Again, we're all different.
