Make Shift + Mousewheel horizontally scroll the timeline

Across Windows apps, and also macOS apps, shift + mousewheel is the default way to scroll horizontally. Premiere doesn’t follow this, yet it has a critical function where you need to scroll the timeline very often. I just can’t wrap my head around why it is ctrl + mousewheel to horizontally scroll; it doesn’t even make sense.

Please give us the option to use shift + mousewheel to horizontally scroll the timeline. You can make it when our mouse is hovering over the timeline area, like strictly within the timeline area, not including the timeline panel outer layer, we can scroll horizontally with shift + mousewheel.

Thank you

I agree with this request. Shift + mouse wheel is already a familiar horizontal scrolling shortcut in many apps, so having the same option in Premiere would make timeline navigation much more intuitive and efficient.

Hopefully Adobe can add this later. 👍🏼
