Missing Timecode and no Audio Levels in Source Timeline

Hello everybody,

I just noticed, that a sequence opened as a source and then as (source) timline doesn't show any source timecode. Especially when doing pancake editing I sometimes need to see the timecode of the source clips.

Additionally frustrating: when playing back fron the source timeline highlighted, the audio levels do not work. Only if you playback with the source window selected, levels are shown.

This seems like a huge oversight to not have timecode and audio levels included in this feature.

To add another one to this:

Soloing is also not possible. Muting is, but not during playback (as it is in a normal timeline). You have to pause playback first, then Premiere will mute the muted tracks (I'm talking about audio tracks btw) when playing again - a workaround for the missing track solo feature

Either it is also not implemented or a bug... this one feels more like a bug to me to be honest.

In the newest version (24.1 at the moment of writing)

Well I know it from other NLEs, so for me it's a missing feature in Premiere, that would make work much more easy in certain situations. TC is king and you should always have access to it (that's an opinion of course)

Maybe like this: Add Missing Timecode and Audio Levels in Source Timeline (pretty please, if you want to) 😄

To be honest, I don't really care about the wording as I posted in Ideas/Feature Requests and not in Bugs

You've stated it in the negative - more as a bug than a feature request. Using your words I would have said it more like this:

Add Timecode and Audio Levels in Source Timeline

That seems more like a request.

I see. Maybe adobe will implement it in the future, who knows....  😉

Thanks for your question.

I'm talking about the timecode window.

When I open a sequence as source and from the source window as timeline (source timeline) - I have video on track 1 and 2 - there is no timecode shown in the timecode window for source clips. All sequence related information is shown (even the topmost clipname) but no track related information (V1/V2 SRC).

That's why I posted as feature request/idea and not as a bug. It just seems to be a missing feature to me.

Hi,

Can you explain what is happening? Are you sayng that when you open a sequence in the Timeline, there is no timecode showing in the Timeline?
