Modified Transition Effects should be able to be saved as a Preset

Simple idea:

I select Wipe as a transition.

I make a couple small adjustments (duration, direction of wipe).

I save Wipe as a NEW PRESET.

I can now drop it other places or set as default.

Why is this not possible?
