Move FX Badges To the Left and Regain "Get Properties From Selection" function in the Timeline

I have two issues with premiere pro 24.5 on a Macbook M1 that have been detrimental to my workflow and speed of editing. These are, the apparent removal of the "Get properties from selection" when on the timeline and also the move of the "fx" icon on a clip on the timeline from the left to the right. For the "Get properties ffrom selection" I have this set as a shortcut key and use this on most clips on a timeline to determine what percentage I can slow down the footage by. Without it is seriously decreases the efficiency of my workflow. It sounds like this has been resolved in the 24.6 beta? However I wanted to throw my hat in the ring that this is a necessary feauture for users!

For the move of the "fx" button on a clip I use this to change from the default opacity to time remapping adjustment. Having this on the left (previous versions) makes sense because as you move down the timeline you come across it first. Now with it on the right I need to zoom out, find the end of the clip, select time remapping and then zoom back in before I can make any speed ramp adjustments. Please move the button back to the left side of a clip.

I'm hoping that these issues can be resolved in a new update as I'm really frustrated with both of these changes as it's making my work much more difficult.

Mod note: Moved to the Ideas forum. The title was changed.

I 100% agree with these two complaints. I noticed the fx was on the right and it makes WAY more sense on the left. Also I would add when the audio clips are smaller the "no audio type assigned" button/icon is bigger relatively and I keep accidentally hitting this and it popping open the essential sound panel and find it disruptive to my workflow. Maybe a way to disable that and take it off the clip would be nice. Love it if anything could be done about that. Thank you.

Jimmy, thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback on Premiere Pro 24.5. Let me dive in:

Regarding "Get Properties from Selection" you're correct that this was a bug we introduced. It has been addressed in the 24.6 beta, and we are working to integrate it into future stable releases.

Regarding the FX badge's relocation on the timeline clips, I understand the inconvenience of having it on the right side. The default opacity to time remapping adjustment is a vital part of many workflows, and the need to zoom in and out disrupts the editing process. We are evaluating user feedback on this change, and I will ensure your concerns are heard by the product team. In the meantime, consider using custom keyboard shortcuts to streamline your process as a temporary workaround.

Thank you for your patience and for being a dedicated Premiere Pro user. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out.

Warmly,
Chris

Good points Jimmy. I upvoted this thread, but I hope you put your comments into the relative threads on the beta forum. Cheers.
