This is a minor bug, and probably more of a personal issue but maybe I'm not the only one!

When you go to export a project. File>Export>Media...

The "Send to Adobe Media Encoder" button is underneath the "Media" button.

5/10 times it never fails to accidentally click "Send to Adobe Media Encoder"

This then opens up Adobe Media Encoder slowing the process, having to force quit the app, etc.

The idea is to move it somewhere else where an entirely separate app doesn't have to open up if you click the wrong button.

Hey, maybe even a pop-up that says "Are you sure you want to open Adobe Media Encoder"

Me is the full encoding part of Premiere and can be easily set to work in the background. It's heavily used in pro workflows to fet something encoding while you keep working in Premiere.

This is not a bug but by design.

Dont think this will ever change.
