Multiple Adobe Feature Requests for Workflow Improvements
First, I’d like to say thanks for the recent updates!
The focus on performance, stability, and small long-overdue improvements has really made a difference. The UI feels smoother, and it’s great to see more transparency around the development process.
That said, as a daily Premiere Pro user (and freelancer who often works across different teams and clients), I’ve collected a few requests over the past months that I think would improve workflow and performance even further:
Background Loading
Don’t always load every sequence in the background. If I only have one sequence open, performance shouldn’t be bogged down by other sequences I have in a project.
Graph Editor
Introduce a more advanced graph editor, again similar to After Effects, for better animation control.
Sequence Scaling
Allow easy scaling up a sequence while maintaining all proportions, similar to how it works in After Effects.
SVG Support
Proper support for .svg files in Premiere Pro. Even if real rasterization is needed under the hood, they shouldn’t look extremely low quality.
Lumetri Vignette Rotation
Add the ability to rotate the vignette inside Lumetri, especially needed for vertical (9x16) projects.
Text Editing Mode Performance
Working in Text Editing Mode often slows down overall performance significantly, so it's not very useful currently.
Subtitles Linked to Audio
Let us link audio and subtitles, so when voice over clips are moved or extended, the captions follow automatically.
“Playhead Follows Selection” Behavior
With this feature enabled, please prevent the playhead from jumping to a new clip while I’m moving things around or working in another window. It's a constant thing that happens all the time, especially when keyframing.
Frame.io Account Switching
Make it easier to switch between multiple Frame.io accounts. Freelancers often work with several studios/clients, and the current switching process in not very fast.
Disk Space Error Handling
Instead of infinite error messages when the drive is full, simply allow saving and exiting safely.
Optional / Bonus:
A one-click way to end a song and fade it out with a Reverb smoothly (like Remix, but for ending a song with a stinger). Example: YouTube link
