Option in settings and timeline to change default MPEG "smooth video motion" setting for VFR clips

having to manually set dozens of clips from their default of "preserve audio sync" to "smooth video motion" is awful. There should be an option in the settings window to change the default MPEG mode for variable framerate clips and or an option to bulk adjust clips on the timeline. Something similar to the right click "time interpolation" options.

It's a bit ridiculous in my opinion that there is even an option for clips filmed in variable frame rate to NOT be set to "smooth video motion" (though I suppose in this mode there could be some audio sync issue I've still yet to see).
