Playback Speed Control Feature

I would love to see a button that controls the playback speed similar to what we have on Youtube.

This would be incredibly useful when editing long interviews or talking head videos for example.

 

I know that you can use J and L to speed up or slow down playback, but one of the problems with this is once you stop playback, it resumes at normal speed again.

 

I'd like to have a button that remains active until I decide to turn it off, and it would have options between 1.25x, 1.5x and 2x just like Youtube. Am I alone in thinking this would be a useful feature that would speed up workflow? Give this an upvote if you like the idea.

    Was just going to suggest something like this. 2x can be a bit fast sometimes, depending on audio quality or accent, but it helps to go through interviews a more than 1x. 1.5x would probably be the sweet spot, though it would be good to have it at all .25x increments.
