Please enable backwards compatibility to open projects in older versions

it would be very helpful if adobe could figure out a way to make the saved projects at least backward compatible to a year so when there are issues we don't lose all our work

adobe's reason for currently not:
The reason backward compatibility is an issue because projects can become corrupt if there are effects used which are included in the newer version but were not present in the older one(s).

Our reply: we have experienced that when we used red giant, but they just warned us and let us anyway, which we prefer. there were just missing effects and parts that were highlighted and that was great, easy to fix. but to not have the project at all is devestating.

adobe's response:
Your idea sounds great to me, as well. If you could spare a minute and share it on the Adobe Community, this might get attention of other users and get included in our future updates. Adobe is trying to include certain features, especially ones requested by long-time users like you.
