Please finally stop creating nonsensical audio tracks for files that don’t have any sound!

Why does Premiere Pro always have an attached audio file, even when the clip has no sound? There has to be a completely unnecessary audio track by default. It’s annoying and makes no sense. Isn’t 33 years of this nonsense enough? Can it finally be changed?
Another thing is the sliders for adjusting the image in windows, practically in the same color as their immediate surroundings. To move the image or find the slider, you have to stick your head into the monitor. Why do you stubbornly cling to senseless ideas?

Hello, @AdamSoyercaster

Premiere Pro attaches an audio track to video clips by default because it assumes that most video clips will have audio. This is a standard practice in video editing software to streamline the editing process, especially for users who work with a lot of footage that includes audio. However, I understand that it can be frustrating if you’re working with clips that don’t have sound.

To address this, you can manually delete the audio track from your clip in the timeline if it’s not needed. Alternatively, you can change the default audio track settings in Premiere Pro to better suit your workflow. You can do this by going to the Preferences menu, then to the Timeline tab, and adjusting the default audio track type.

Regarding the sliders for adjusting the image, this seems to be a design choice by Adobe. If you’re finding the color contrast between the sliders and their background to be insufficient, you might want to provide feedback to Adobe directly through their official forums or user feedback tools. Adobe regularly updates their software based on user feedback, so your input could lead to improvements in future versions.

Remember, software design often involves a balance between functionality and aesthetics, and what may seem senseless to one user might be useful or visually appealing to another. Nonetheless, user feedback is crucial for developers to refine their software, so do share your thoughts with Adobe.

Best Regard,
