Please lock zoom on our Program Monitor

I'm sure I would be sick to my stomach if I could somehow know how much time I've wasted resetting the program monitor's zoom to "fit" after I accidently adjusted it. Because for some reason we decided that scrolling over the monitor just HAD to zoom in.

 

No one asked for this feature. It doesn't improve my efficiency. It just makes me mad. PLEASE just let me disable it or lock the zoom on my program monitor. Also probably fire whoever made this decision to begin with. 

 

Sorry for the aggressive post. I'm at my wit's end with this 😞

    I agree. I’ll never understand how this kind of stuff makes it past QA. It happens a dozen times every time I work on an edit. It seems like low hanging fruit to just add a lock option.

    Yes this is driving me insane

    Please add the option to lock the zoom

    The amount of subtitling and captions I do now, need to constantly move from timeline to program monitor to edit text and if i happen to gently brush the mouse, it zooms in or out and constantly having to click Fit again.

    Driving me bonkers and so tedious to keep doing

      Actually, a lot of users did ask for this feature.

      Not lock, but a preference.

      I love zooming on the PM (use a lot of masks), but I also have a shortcut set for Fit.
