Please make rounded corners an option

Please make rounded corners an option, or have squared corners where clips are touching the same line. I thought I was going crazy because my clips had tons of 1-2 frame gaps and I kept having to zoom way in to see them. Only to find out it's the new update. Cmon. I've been working in PPro full time for 20+ years. this is silly.

strongly suggest ... beg, actually! ... for more professional users to routinely give the five minutes a week or so to check out what's going on in the beta.

Why? Simple.

That's when things like this get rolled out for comment, and it is far easier to get changes before something ships in the regular release than after!

Unlike the BlackMagic app, the Premiere beta will be installed separately from the shipping versions, and won't affect them at all. Check out the new builds once a week for five minutes, and if you see something off, post on the beta forum immediately.

As then, you have a far better chance of getting it changed than posting here after it's in the shipping version.

The more users that do this, the better for all of us.

I understand completely. I'd just prefer to lose the rounded corners, which is what it seems like many are saying here and my original point. It's not a bug, it's an aesthetic choice by Adobe. I appreciate their dev work, but I'm also a long time customer using it professionally every day. It's not useful and hinders editing. Also not really interested in playing in beta when I have active projects either. Appreciate the explanation and your perspective though.

Perahps part of it is your reference to 'patches' ... which perhaps, you mis-understand. When a major version is released, that's a major version. Subsequent updates are commonly referred to as "Patches".

So the say 25.0 version is the major release, and we have had a couple updates to that, so we currently are on ... what, 25.1.0 or something like that?

Patches are an update to the regular release. And include bug fixes as well as at times changes in functionality.

Check out the newest beta build to see what they have done there. It's vastly minimized.

Offering user options, though what you and I would prefer, always includes more complications for the coding. And that is at times enough of an issue that for the small percentage of users objecting to this ... and I would hazard those of us objecting are less than 5% of the several million daily users ... the devs think minimizing is their better option.

I may not agree, but I can grudgingly understand.

They can also just get rid of them or offer a preferences option. In my opinion, the aesthetics, smaller or not, offers no function value so I don't really want to have software patches. Smaller doesn't really interest me.

Again, as stated many times in this and other threads, they will be much smaller after the new patch update ... whenever that comes out. As they are in recent builds in the public beta.

So it will change ... to not quite as annoying.

Exactly I'm often using a lot of layers and it's frustrating to zoom in/out to check. Adobe, please update this.

100% agree, there really should be an option to turn this off. It makes lining up edit points hugely more difficult, and in quick turnaround jobs it's just asking for trouble.

As has been noted, in the public beta they are much smaller, to the point of not really being a problem. So that will eventually become the shipping version. Sooner is better methinks.

Like many, I'd prefer an option for the corners. That said, and not being one that finds any use for them at all ... I do know others that find this so much nicer to look at with the rounded corners.

Eounded corners are nightmare. Now Premiere looks like toy software!

I think that most of the long-time user of Premiere Pro find all these UI updates wrong and unproductive. Please, change this or make this optionnal, we are paying you since forever, there should be at least stability in the product. Remove the crop by default in clip effect. Remove those rounded corner. Remove that bug that make in and out point invisible when the clips are at their minimal thickness.
