Please stop updating so often with user interface changes. It's getting too hard to keep up and we waste so much time relearning and adjusting our workflow.

The masking and tracking tool somewhere between v26.0.0 to v26.0.2 changed locations and icons. Changes like that can be difficult to find and it feels like they are being moved around just to create confusion. after so many years with all my plugins for Premiere, I am leaving. It feels like you are trying to kill your own business. I most have LrC and Photoshop, but the huge cost to add Premiere cannot be justified.

Every SINGLE app!!! Why can't they just focus on providing stability and minor QOL changes instead of throwing random nonsense in with literally no thought or care put into it.

It's like they heard "move fast and break things" and said "yes that's a solid business plan and how we should run out update cycles".

They didn’t break anything for probably most of us ... except that we had to re-learn how to mask. All of maybe five-ten minutes, and a day or two of working a bit slower getting the muscle memory down.

And for that pain, we got a vastlly more capable,  powerful, and faster masking tool. Easy trade-off …

But is you don’t read the documentation it’s not going to work. Read. They give a tool tip for it on the timeline toolbar. Just click the tooltip.

There was the massive change from 25.x to 26.x, with the vastly more powerful but very different masking system ... yes, and that was a pain for many, as if you didn’t read the documentation you simply couldn’t get it to work.

But wow, the capabilities were upgraded!

But ... I’ve not noted any change in the 26.x so far ... masking has been from the masking icon on the timeline toolbar since 26.x came out, in any patch I’ve seen. What changed in yours?

The change itself was definitely positive. My frustration is that the masking and tracking tools changed location and icons between v26 and v26.0.2 — and possibly as early as v26.0.1.

What is frustrating is having to research and relearn every minor update in the middle of a project.

The main reason I have stayed with Premiere is that I have already paid for my plugins. I genuinely need Lightroom Classic and Photoshop, and while Premiere’s features can often be replaced with free alternatives, replacing my paid plugins would mean additional cost.

For me, this is simply an economic issue, and at times it feels like Premiere is not considering that impact. I understand these changes are not as simple as they may seem, but I am asking Adobe to measure twice and cut once.
