Project Manager "Consolidate and Transcode as Individual Clips" Option Doesn't Honor In/Out Points

Latest version of Premiere

  • .mp4 source media (yeah, i know)
  • Sequence contains multiple clips with various in/out points set on the clips themselves, i.e. a typical edit
  • Choose Project Manager/Consolidate and Transcode/Individual Clips
  • Choose Quicktime/Apple Prores 4444
  • Check: exclude unsused media, 24 frame handles
  • Resulting export transcodes the entire clip, not the clip from in to out point
  • So, it appears to be making a copy of the entire clip and ignoring the in/out points

not what I want. i want only the edited, individual sections of the clips from the sequence.

any help or advice is appreciated. thanks.

Hi DK,

Sorry, the H.264 and HEVC codecs are not supported for consolidation. I just promoted this post to a feature request on our Ideas forum. I will upvote. You can check out third-party tools that do this now. like Plume Pack.

Thanks,
Kevin
