Purge button to reset preferences and delete cache
Why is there no purge button easily visible to reset preferences and delete the cache without closing the program, as in After Effects? With two clicks, performance issues can be solved without losing workflow or searching through poorly organised settings menus.
When the button is pressed, it asks if you want to save your project, and then a window pops up asking what memory dump needs to happen, for example, checkboxes for the following:
- Delete Chache
- Clear Current System RAM
- Clear Video RAM
- Reset Preferences
- Ens.....Whatever else helps with Premiere Pro performance and proper functioning in all windows
Then, a window asks if you want to restart Premiere Pro.
This would collect all knowledge and issues complained about thus far about Premiere Pro's memory problem and fix a long-standing irritation most people have with Premiere.
