Quickly convert marker ranges into subclips

An excellent feature that I believe many can take advantage of would be the ability to take markers in the marker pane and convert them into subclips with CTRL/CMD + U (indivudally or with multiple selected.) Subclips would be created either from marker to marker automatically or (if the marker had a duration defined) the subclip would be the length of the marker range. Subclips would automatically receive the name of the marker.

Adobe Prelude used to be able to do this.  It would great to see it Premiere Pro.

There are several situations where this could be helpful.

I thought as a workaround for batch creation of subclips you could shorten the video in a sequence instead of using markers and crtl+drag/drop them in the project panel but this only creates one subclip, even if several clips are selected.

Regarding subclips, I'd also love to have a quick way to show every subclip of a video under that video (like a folder with folding and unfolding).

You could do exactly this back in Prelude. I wish they would bring back the Subclip Marker. It was so versatile. So could for episodic work. So many ways to use it.

If you never used it...
